Originally built in the 70s, Villa Miranda is a classic mix of cubist and vernacular architecture “baked to perfection”, as the luxurious Cycladic residence is renovated and elevated to modern standards without sacrificing its traditional integrity. The interior is organized around an internal stone-paved courtyard that seems to be carved into the rock that surrounds it, generating a feeling of spaciousness and alfresco living. Oleander blossoms and lush evergreen palm trees tower over the enclosed “oasis”, unifying raw beauty and purposeful design in the most seamless way. Apart from the private pool and the shaded lounge area with built-in sofa and open-sky jacuzzi, the villa overlooks the Agean and Mykonos Town through a wall-sized window, allowing even more light to the already bright interior. Wooden frames and stark-white linen complement the otherwise minimal décor, with a dash of prickly pears sealing that true Greek island atmosphere.
